Goofs:
Continuity
At the end after Jacob kisses Bella one more time, Bella's right hand is on Jacob's neck; when the camera shows Bella's face, from that point on, it's her left hand.

Revealing Mistakes
When Jacob transforms back into a human after the final battle, flesh colored boxer shorts are visible.

Revealing Mistakes
When the third wife stabs herself there is blood but her clothes aren't ripped

Continuity
It's mentioned a couple times that Riley (as a human) has been missing for over a year. But when Charlie is looking at the Missing Persons flier, it says Riley was last seen in May 2010. (The movie clearly takes place in June 2010, as evidenced by newspapers with current headlines regarding the vampire attacks in Seattle.)

Continuity
In the "tent scene", the stocking hat that Bella is wearing changes position several times.

Continuity
During the training fight scene when Emmett is sparring with Jasper, Emmett throws a punch at Jasper with his right hand (as they meet in battle again after Emmett threw Jasper), but in the transitioning scene when Jasper ducks, Emmett is punching with his left hand.

Continuity
When Edward is fighting Victoria and Riley, Bella cuts her arm with a rock. when you see the blood run down it clearly shows that she had cut under her sleeve, but when Edward goes to wrap her arm he wraps around close to her wrist. This is not near where the blood came from.

Continuity
When Bree is first leaning up looking at Felix when he is heading towards her, she is leaning up with her hair un-tucked from behind her ears. But when the next camera shot goes back to her, she is laying back on the ground with her hair tucked behind her right ear.

Continuity
In the opening scene in the meadow when Bella pushes Edward to the ground, his hand is on her neck, but when the camera changes to the side angle, his hand is on her waist.

Continuity
In the "tent scene," Edward's hair in the forehead looks different between shots.

Continuity
In the opening scene in the meadow, Bella is wearing her ring on her finger for the first shot, then it is missing for the rest of the scene.

Continuity
In one scene in the beginning Edward has chest hair and its visible from the collar of his shirt. When he asks Bella to marry him you can see that he has no chest hair.

Errors in Geography
During the scene where the Cullens are watching the news, the woman says "reporting live". She's in Seattle and it's night time there but at the Cullens' house we can see it's day time (through the window). Forks and Seattle are in the same time zone, therefore it should be the same time of the day in both places.

Errors in Geography
When Jasper is telling Bella about his past, he states that he was in the Texas Cavalry and was heading to Galveston before being turned. The scene cuts to this action, showing Jasper riding a horse with mountains in the background, and then in front of the ocean. There are no mountains within several hundred miles of Galveston, Texas.

Audio/Video Mismatch
When Bella arrives to Jacob's house, after he's hurt, she says "Hey", but it doesn't match with the way her mouth moves.

Factual Mistake
In the last scene where Edward and Bella are sitting in the sunny field, Edward is not sparkling.
Trivia:
In certain scenes, the Cullens irises are completely black rather than their usual golden topaz color. While never directly commented on in the movie, it is referred to in the novels as an indicator of a vampire's extreme hunger when the eyes go completely black.

When Bella visits Jacob after the newborn battle, a painting of the A-Ka-Lat "Top of the Rock" island formation off the coast of La Push Beach can clearly be seen behind Bella during her dialogue sides. According to actual Quileute tradition, prominent members of the Quileute tribe have been buried on the A-Ka-Lat island. The island is also known as James Island, which is not an allusion to the Twilight series character James.

"The Cold One" is played by Peter Murphy, who was the lead singer of the English band Bauhaus. Their brief success during the late 1970s and early 1980s is considered by many music critics to have given birth to the "Goth" rock genre, and their debut single, "Bela Lugosi's Dead," introduced several elements into the "Goth" genre and subculture - including its interest in vampires (Bela Lugosi being the actor who played Count Dracula in Dracula (1931)). Therefore, Murphy's presence in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010) is a tip of the hat to several layers of subculture that predate the "Twilight"-era vampire enthusiasms. Murphy's only other feature film appearance was in The Hunger (1983), also a vampire film, in which he sang "Bela Lugosi's Dead".

There was a German show called Mission Hollywood (2009) by Til Schweiger where more or less unknown German actresses including Annika Ernst and Margarita Ruhl should contest for the role of Vera, a friend of Rosalie when she still was human. Winner was Sabrina Frank who also really shot her scenes in Vancouver. However, her scenes were deleted from the final version of the film.

Jasper introduces himself as Jasper Whitlock to a coven of vampires, but is often referred to as Jasper Hale in his modern life; this is because he adopted Rosalie's family name to pass himself as her twin brother.

The scene that Ashley Greene was anticipating the most to film is "the big fight scene".

The original editor, Art Jones, was to be solely credited for the film. Three months before the film's release, however, Jones was abruptly released by the studio. In regards to that, David Slade later commented that although Jones' edit was good, Summit felt that it didn't have the intensity intended. Summit immediately brought back Nancy Richardson (who edited the first film) to recut and fine-tune the edit. However, Jones' name still made the final credits.

Chris Weitz was so busy completing The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) that he turned down the chance to direct this.

The first Twilight film to be released in a large screen format for presentation on IMAX screens.

The scene in the parking lot where Jane tortures Felix into submission during a moment of insubordination does not happen anywhere in the original novel.

Jackson Rathbone's (Jasper) favorite actress is Bryce Dallas Howard, who happened to be cast alongside him in the film.

Kristen Stewart received her high school diploma by correspondence one week before filming Bella's graduation scene. She took a mock graduation photo with an extra so she'd have a photo of herself graduating high school.

In the stories that Billy Black tells at the bonfire, the third wife was originally going to be played by Kristen Stewart. She did perform the scene but the director David Slade and author Stephenie Meyer thought it had an unintentional comical effect.

Tom Felton and Channing Tatum were both considered for the role of Riley.

The note Bella retrieves from her drawer that happens to be from Jacob is actually the same note that is used as the prologue of the 'Eclipse' novel. Just as in the novel, lines of text are scored out rather than erased.

Lucy Hale was considered for the role of Leah Clearwater after auditioning for the role of Jane in the previous installment.

Both Paul Weitz and Drew Barrymore were considered as directors.

Prior to the release of the movie, the Volvo company sponsored an online game in several countries, including the continental US, in which they gave away a car of the same make and color as Edward's silver Volvo featured in the Twilight Saga: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010). This game was called, "Lost in Forks", and was a maze style game in which the player had to drive around the town of Forks, Washinton and be the fastest player to reach Bella's Graduation Party at the Cullen's house in the shortest number of road "forks". The game featured several locations featured in the books, such as: Bella's House, La Push Beach, The site of the New Born Battle, and the Lumber Mill. The player could also unlock several easter eggs, including wall paper, movie clips and plot secrets. Volvo announced the the shortest route possible to the Cullen's house was 11 forks.

Taylor Lautner told Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live!: The Twilight Saga: Total Eclipse of the Heart (2010) that the censors required that the wolves have no genitalia whenever they appear on screen.

Kristen Stewart wore a wig for this film after cutting her hair short for The Runaways (2010).

Director David Slade originally spoke against the Twilight series, stating that he wouldn't go near the franchise. Shortly after he was announced as the director of Eclipse, he quickly withdrew his previous remarks, claiming it to be a joke he was doing to promote some comedy shorts.

David Slade has stated that most of Nikki Reed's fight scenes at the climax were left out because the dailies that came back from the lab were underexposed and the shooting schedule would not allow him and the crew to reshoot her parts.

'Eclipse' is actually Taylor Lautner's favorite book in the Twilight series.

When Charlie is sitting at the kitchen table looking at the Riley flyer, it states that Riley was born April 10th, 1990. This is the day after Kristen Stewart's birthday. She was born April 9th, 1990.

Miranda Kerr and Vanessa Hudgens were considered to play Leah Clearwater.

Rachelle Lefevre was fired by Summit Entertainment from this movie, because her filming schedule overlapped with that of her other movie Barney's Version (2010), and was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard.

The scenes of Victoria building her "army" were based on the novella 'The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner', written by Stephenie Meyer and distributed, in first draft form, to the cast. One particular line, given by Edward to Jane, indicates he knew about the alliance alluded to in the novella, but, with no proof, it was something he could do nothing about.

Robert Pattinson refused to let his eyebrows be plucked/waxed down as they had been in the previous two films.
