Indian born-New Zealand actress Latha Hegde is popular for her work in Kannada cinema and also works in Telugu and Tamil films. She made her debut in the industry with the Telugu movie 'Tuntari' in 2016, opposite Nara Rohith. She then went on to make her Kannada debut opposite Chetan Kumar in the 2017 Kannada movie 'Athiratha'. Hailing from Honnavar, Karnataka, India, Latha studied in Kannada medium school and moved to New Zealand. Latha's father is an engineer and her mother is a teacher. She did her schooling and university in Auckland, New Zealand. Latha finished her degree with a double major in international marketing and management at the University of Auckland.
