Trivia:
This film is based on the novel The Dark Fields by Alan Glynn. It was even named so throughout production.

Shia LaBeouf was originally cast as Eddie, but had to drop out after badly injuring his left hand in a car accident in July 2008.

Bradley Cooper's father was ill with terminal cancer during the filming of this movie. Cooper was relieved that the film was shot in his hometown of Philadelphia and he could check on his father every day.

Whenever Eddie Morra takes the pill, the film up-scales in color, then goes down when he comes back to normal.
