American actress Michelle Monaghan hails from Winthrop, Iowa and is the youngest of three children and the only daughter of Sharon and Robert L Monaghan. Michelle had graduated from high school in Iowa and studied journalism for three years at Chicago's Columbia College after which she started her career in modelling.
Michelle made her big screen debut with a small role of Henrietta in Perfume and she received recognition in 2002, when she co-starred as Kimberly Woods for one season on the TV series Boston Public. She has worked with Ben Stiller in 'Heartbreak Kid' and alongside Robert Downey Jr in the movie 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang'.
Michelle is married to Australian graphic artist Peter White and gave birth to her daughter in the year 2008 and delivered her son in the year 2013.
