Goofs:
Character Error
The character of Sean Parker claims to be the "creator of Napster." Actually Shawn Fanning was the creator of Napster and Sean Parker is only sometimes credited as a "co-founder."

Factual Mistake
The first three universities to have Facebook in the UK were Oxford, Cambridge and St Andrews. Facebook came to London School of Economics in a later roll-out to British universities.

Revealing Mistakes
The beer bottles tossed by Mark Zuckerberg to Sean Parker's girlfriend in the Palo Alto rental home have no liquid inside them when they break.

Revealing Mistakes
When the Winkelvi are at the trophy presentation at the Henley Royal Regatta, Josh Pence's face is visible for at least a second as the flash cameras go off.

Revealing Mistakes
When Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo go outside of the fraternity "Caribbean Night" into the cold, visible breaths emerge directly from their lips. In reality, the breath is invisible for 2 - 3 inches, the space required for it to drop to a temperature at which it can condense and become visible.
Trivia:
During his performance as the Winklevoss twins in the movie, Armie Hammer was forced to eat a lot of junk food to keep his weight up.

In the movie, when Mark Zuckerberg posts his art essay question on Facebook his alias is Tyler Durden.

The film received widespread acclaim, with critics praising it for its screenplay, editing, score, acting and direction. However, some people, including Zuckerberg himself, criticized the film for what they said were its many inaccuracies.

Neither Zuckerberg nor any other Facebook staff were involved with the project, although Saverin was a consultant for Mezrich's book.

Adapted from Ben Mezrich's 2009 book 'The Accidental Billionaires', the film portrays the founding of social networking website Facebook and the resulting lawsuits.
